Ever struggled deciding which Expansion Pack you want to get next? Well I know how hard it can be. Here is my ranked list of the Expansion Packs, meaning this is the order in which I would buy them. To be honest, I do not have all of them, so this is my list to decide what to get next!! I obviously compiled this list according to my preferences, so some of you might disagree. With each pack, I mention why it stands out to me or what in the pack made me decide to rank it there.
#1 Snow Escape
I personally got this one first, because of the Traditional and Modern Japanese Styles. The Japanese styled build objects really drew my attention as well as you can choose to let your sim use chopsticks when they eat and when they are in the house, sims must take their shoes off. Apart from that, it is fun to go skiing or snow boarding or even rock climbing in the snow. Another thing that I absolutely love is the Natural Hot Springs pool that you can have for your sims to relax in. This will go great with the Spa Day Game Pack. You also get a new world.
#2 Cottage Living
I feel like this Expansion Pack brings a lot of new aspects to the game, especially if you like the farm lifestyle. Even if you don't, it's still amazing. I love having animals on your lot, which you need to look after and can then get resources from. There's the chicken coop which is my main favorite thing, to get eggs to cook with. There's the barn for cows or even llama's, how cool is it to have a pet llama? You get new festivals to go to and contests to enter. Then of course there is all the off the grid furniture, you can save a lot on household funds with this! You also get a new world.
#3 Island Living
I mean come on.. who doesn't want to be a mermaid? This Expansion Pack brings the beach life to the next level! You can be a mermaid, so in create a sim you make your human form and your mermaid form. There are dolphins who you can swim with and befriend. There are loads of water activities. There is also a new conservationist career. You also get a new world.
#4 Cats and Dogs
There's not really much to discuss here, it's quite obvious, with this Expansion Pack you can have cats and dogs as pets. You can also have a vet career! There is also a new world.
#5 Seasons
This is definitely a must have, it is really fun having different seasons, having thunderstorms or snow or hot days, etc.. There are also fun holiday's for your sims to take part in, which is a big selling point for me. I enjoy letting my sims celebrate Christmas!! Then there is also the ice skating and roller skating ranks for sims to fall on their ass lol! This one does not come with a new world.
#6 High School Years
This is probably one of the best Sims 4 Packs to ever come out for teens! This Pack brings a lot of new functionality to the game. Go to prom, prank classmates, experiment with fashion styles, take part in competitive extracurricular activities such as football or cheerleading. You can now go to high school with your sims. Teens can interact in class with their teacher. Teens can earn extra money as a style influencer. One of my favorite aspects is decorating your locker! Teens can skip class, they can also sneak out their bedroom window at night. There is so much more great features in this Pack! This Pack comes with a new world.
#7 City Living
The main reason I like this Expansion Pack is for the apartment life and for building up a snow globe and poster collection. There are also a few cultural festivals which is really fun too!! This one comes with a new world with apartment blocks.
#8 Eco Lifestyle
Recycling and making votes on neighborhood action plans. This Expansion Pack is not so appealing to me personally, but I do like the fact that it comes with a new world and based on your actions, you can make this world clear or smoky. So you decide if it get's cleaner or more toxic. There are some cool gadgets in this pack to make your own fizzy drinks and so on.
#9 Get Famous
You sims can become famous, sign autographs, have paparazzi follow them, etc.. My favorite part of this Expansion Pack is that you get an acting career and an acting skill. This one comes with a new world.
#10 Get To Work
You get some interactive careers, Doctor, Detective or Scientist. The thing that stood out the most to me is you can own your own retail business. This comes with a new world, but it is rather small.
#11 Discover University
With this Expansion Pack you can experience the university and even dorm life through your sims. This is one of my least favorite packs. It comes with a new world for when your sims goes to university.
#12 Get Together
You can create clubs, so for example make a cooking club. You can decide what activities or actions gives points in the club and you can decide what activities or actions the club dislikes. There is also a new DJ skill and Dancing skill. This comes with a new world.
Well this is my ranked list for The Sims 4 Expansion Pack's. I have not mentioned everything in each pack, but just some stuff about it which stood out for me. If you would like me to do a review on a certain pack, please let me know in the comments, then I will do so on YouTube!
