Finally it is here!!! I am really enjoying this High School Years Expansion Pack. It has a lot more new clothing pieces than I expected and did you guys see the new dressers you get in build mode... AMAZING!!!
The gameplay did disappoint me a bit, like the cheerleading, I was hoping cheerleading practice would be something at the school and that you could go with your sim to practice. The Football game and the Cheerleading competition is also like what.... So you just toss the football around or do routines on the cheer mat and that's it?
Nonetheless, I think this pack is still really awesome and brings a lot of cool new features to the game. Let's not focus on the negatives, the positives out way the negatives BY FAR!
This was my experience, the first time playing with this new pack. I created a family to see what new create a sim items there are. The family name is Marquez. They consist of a teen girl who wants to be a cheerleader, a teen boy who wants to be a football star, a chef mother and a geek father. Then I built the Marquez family a beautiful family home, but this home was lost due to my game crashing just after I completed my family build, so sad!! I did however get screenshots of the build before my game crashed, which you can find on my Instagram. I then launched my game again and started a new build. This time, I took the same Marquez family, but I removed the teen boy. I thought perhaps for first time gameplay let me first play with one teen instead of two. So I created a family home.
It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is the main floor, a 2nd floor and a basement. The main floor consists of the kitchen, dining room, entrance and laundry room. The 2nd floor consists of the living room / hobby room, the parents bedroom and bathroom. The basement is huge, it is just for the teen girl, since the family is serious about her cheerleading, there is a large cheer mat and a small one so she can have her cheer squad come over to practice. I also have an awesome gaming setup for her as she will also live stream her gaming, thanks to the awesome extra streaming digital content we get if we purchase this High School Years Expansion Pack before September 8th 2022. Then there is also the teen girls bedroom and bathroom in the basement. You can find this build on my gallery (ID: PrettyPoisonStef). The build's name is Serious Cheerleading. Then I moved the Marquez family into my Serious Cheerleading build and started exploring the functions of this new pack. I'm still trying to figure out the Social Bunny app, it does not always allow me to put reactions on others posts, so not sure how that works. I let my teen girl join the after school sports activity for cheerleading and she got a job as a live streamer. So every morning she wakes up at 5AM to get ready and then streams for an hour before school. Then she goes to school and first does her homework in the school cafeteria. She then goes to her first class. Now the very first time playing this, when my sim just got to her first class (a bit late), she sat at her desk and everyone got up and left.. I was like where you going but there was also a bell ringing, turns out, they were having a practice fire drill lol!
She then had lunch in the school cafeteria and mingled a bit with her classmates. After second class she had cheer practice. I was sad to see I could not go with, but still she and I experienced a really cool first day of school with this new pack.
Later that week was prom, so before that I had her make a promposal poster. I'm sure the higher your creative skill, the prettier it will look. She then asked her crush to prom, he said yes. Now get this... when I arrived at prom, I'm not sure if my game glitched or what, but I let her dance with her date and literally everyone at prom just left and there was no event... I don't know what happened there, but I am yet to have prom again and actually see how it is. I would like my sim to win Prom Queen!! I did let her take a photo in the photo booth with her date though, I am glad to have photo booths in Sims again!

I will definitely make more High School Builds with different styles. With this one there is a lot of open space, I am planning on renovating it will CC. I must first do some more High School themed CC shopping. I will also share all the CC links once the renovation is complete.
